Strange World - Episode guide

Below is a guide to the Strange World episodes in the order in which they would have aired. Just before the series aired, some Shepard scenes were moved to different episodes and the episode order changed.

Peter is in this episode

1. Pilot

Former USAMRIID captain Paul Turner is asked to join his former Army colleagues in a criminal investigation when an old friend from his Gulf War days is suspected of kidnapping a little boy.

2. Lullaby

Turner discovers that the Japanese Woman's superiors are using a pregnant girl in Sydney's care as a pawn in a bizarre case of surrogacy. This was originally episode 3.

3. Azrael's Breed

Turner assists the Baltimore PD in tracking down a couple who get their thrills from brain tissue stolen from corpses. This was originally episode 9 and contained Shepard scenes that were later moved to "Man Plus."

4. Spirit Falls

Turner discovers a secret hidden behind the mass suicide of a reclusive community — and tests the loyalty of the Japanese Woman at the same time. This was originally episode 6.

5. Devil Still Holds My Hand

Turner's investigation of a possible viral outbreak leads him to a reunion with a former mentor whose antagonism of the Army matches Turner's own. This was originally episode 4.

"I'm bad because I like to toy with damsels in distress"

6. Skin

When Sydney is blamed for the death of a patient, she takes it upon herself to discover the real cause of his death and winds up stumbling onto a secret experiment instead. This was originally episode 8. Shepard appears for the first time, approaching Sydney with information.

7. Man Plus

"Yeah, I'm b-b-b-baaaad..."

Reese assigns Turner his first case when a prominent pianist's death is linked to a mysterious implant in his brain. This was originally episode 2 — this is not Turner's first case anymore! Shepard appears again to tempt Sydney.

8. Rage

A series of unmotivated road rage incidents convinces Turner that some external force is causing the seemingly irrational violence. This was originally episode 5.

9. Aerobe

When a Gulf War vet asks Turner's help in clearing his name, Turner flexes USAMRIID's muscle to stop an insidious cover-up at a nuclear plant. This was originally episode 7.

10. Eliza

A series of apparent I-War [information warfare] attacks hit Washington D.C., prompting Turner to join a Department of Defense team in tracking down the source of the attacks. This was originally episode 11.

11. Down Came the Rain

An ancient Native American ritual, a rare blood disease, and an undiscovered species all come into play when Turner investigates a series of deaths in a Seattle high-rise. This was originally episode 12.

12. Food

Turner's vacation turns into work when a man's death is linked to his genetically engineered crop. This was originally episode 10.

"I'm bad because I like to wear leather jackets (black ones, of course)"

13. Age of Reason

Shepard's masterplan is revealed! This season finale ended in a cliffhanger that left Turner and Sydney on the verge of death. Unfortunately, we'll never know how it was meant to be resolved.
